The Common Agricultural Policy has undergone several reforms during its life – reforms which have responded to different challenges from a society in permanent evolution.

Taking into account the new demands the sector has to meet in today’s competitive and globalised world, and the imminent debate regarding the financial outlook for 2014-2020, within a possibly restrictive budget scenario, the time has come to discuss the future Common Agricultural Policy beyond 2013.

PAC2013 to Hold CAP Debate

Through the International Congress The CAP beyond 2013. A needful debate, we want to encourage reflection on the future of a sector that we consider strategic for the European Union, not only from an economic point of view but also in terms of social cohesion, the inter-territorial balance and environmental protection.

For this purpose, PAC2013 summoned to the event well-known people and institutions that have been providing traction and leadership in the debate on the CAP, in order to study the model that might be most suitable to meet society’s demands and ensure the sector’s sustainability.
