EFNCP Response to the Commission Services Concept Paper on Greening

On 11 May 2012 the Agriculture Commissioner, Dacian Cioloș, tabled a Commission Services concept paper on Greening, outlining some additional suggestions on how to ensure both further simplification of the proposals and potentially allow them to deliver more for the environment. The paper refers to three aspects of the greening payment proposal – broadening the scope of those considered to be ‘green by definition’ and therefore carrying out management that is deemed to be equivalent to the proposed green measures within Pillar 1; the definition of permanent grassland; and the requirements for crop diversification.

A brief response to the paper, focussing particularly on the proposals for revising the permanent grassland definition, from the European Forum on Nature Conservation and Pastoralism can be found here.

Green Rural and Island Communities Project of EU 2012

It is growing a request to partecipate ( 50 million Euro ) by the Island of Tilos : it is a very bad request from a Greek Island wich during the last ten years has spent millions from EU with a large damage to the Ecology of the Island and without results .

It is not acceptable that they can continue on this basis of corruption and other .

I live in Tilos 5 months a year and I ‘ve documented these damages !!
